Contemporary Context
SUNAC Chunfeng Taoyuan, the first villa project in the "Taoyuan Series" built by SUNAC South China branch in the Greater Bay area, serves as the backdrop for Lea Annees Lumiere. It embraces the sentimentality of the past while embracing the contemporary context.
Sentimental Instincts
Lea Annees Lumiere not only focuses on the user experience but also takes into consideration the social and emotional attributes of design. It offers a private space for individuals to retreat and find solace in a world where private life is becoming increasingly public.
Private Space
Returning to oneself can be seen as an awakening and a way to freedom. Lea Annees Lumiere provides a sanctuary where individuals can reconnect with their inner selves and find peace amidst the chaos of the outside world.
Design Realization Technology
The main materials used in the FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment) of Lea Annees Lumiere include marble, burnt stone, metal, and imported fabrics. The fabrics used in the carpet even incorporate silk to create a more skin-friendly touch. The golden edgings exuded from the pendant light represent the owner's superb taste. A hand-made art installation made of copper sheets runs through the four-story staircase patio, resembling a flying ribbon.
Design Specifications
The villa spans an area of 190 square meters. The lighting at the staircase is designed to be more human-oriented, with evenly distributed lights creating a gentle and warm atmosphere. The design of the master bedroom follows the shape of a Chinese sloping roof, while the hard furnishing design adopts an open layout.
Design Interaction
Lea Annees Lumiere reimagines people's lives from a contemporary perspective while echoing the spirit of the Greater Bay area. Its inclusive and multi-dimensional global aesthetics leave room for interpretation by individuals with rich experiences. With a global language of expression, the design resonates with the sentiments of contemporary people, embodying the leading philosophy of HUAMO International's design.
Design Location and Timeframe
The project started in July 2019 and was completed in December 2019 in Qingyuan, Guangdong.
Design Research
The architecture of Lea Annees Lumiere pays homage to the inner message of Lingnan building, providing a relaxing and tolerant living area. By exploring authentic local expressions of design, the interior and FF&E design create a distinctive personality while resonating with the spirit of the architecture. The use of wood tones, accompanied by black, white, and gray, creates a natural, comfortable, and high-end living atmosphere.
Design Challenges
The multifunctional area on the basement 1st floor of the villa, consisting of a living room, gym, wine cellar, and bar, presents the owner's personality through its design.
Design Notes
With a global perspective that doesn't blindly follow trends, Lea Annees Lumiere digs out the possibilities of aesthetics between Eastern heritage and cross-cultural contexts while considering each individual user's emotional needs in contemporary times. This design achieves a rhythmic harmony between space and time, reimagining people's lives from a contemporary perspective while echoing the spirit of the Greater Bay area.
